They WERE prompt and professional, but when I called, I said I needed a new wax ring for my toilet. The serviceman came out and within 3 minutes agreed. A wax ring retails at roughly $6-10. I expected a bill around $125 because I absolutely understand I was paying for the convenience of someone coming to my house to do something I didn’t have the time or skill to take care of. I was given a price of $441 then told I can pay that or pay $100 just to have him come tell me I was correct about what I said I needed.
I understand the service charge, they told me there would be one- though not how much. I agreed to that. But the mark up on this project was insane. The company accepted my compliant and said that that is the cost of quality service. Just want others to expect a high upcharge.
