Pollen & Your HVAC

Spring has officially sprung, according to the unwelcome yellow dust floating through the air, making us sneeze, and finally taking rest on our vehicles.
Pollen – a common allergen – is making its way through Carteret County, and we want to provide you with a few ways to keep the air quality in your
home in tip-top shape.

1.Use the correct air filter. Most air filters are made to keep larger dirt particles out of your home, but some are designed to stop smaller spores.
Be sure to invest in a filter that keeps out the bad stuff!

2.Have your ducts cleaned out. A great deal of dust and debris can accumulate in your ducts if not properly cleaned. When the air flows into your
home, so do those particles. To eliminate the chance of pollen as much as possible, keep your ducts squeaky clean.

3.Opt for regular maintenance, especially during springtime. Keeping your system well-maintained can prevent a lot of impurities from entering into
your home. Our technicians will make sure everything is properly running, filtering and sealed in order to prevent a pollenated home.

Here at Coastal Home Services, we can provide the proper maintenance to help you have a pollen-free home this spring. While there is no way to completely
eliminate those little yellow particles from floating around the air, there are ways to reduce it. Give us a call at 252-842-0094 to set up an appointment,
today!
